Accounts Administrator / Bookkeeper (Maternity Cover)

Starting end of November 2021 for 14 months.

Working for a small, busy contract cleaning company based in Guildford. We are seeking a well organised and experienced Accounts person/Bookkeeper, with previous Sage experience being essential, for our office in Guildford.

12 – 16 hours per week over 2 or 3 days, there is some flexibility for the right person.

Pay rate £12 - £14 per hour (employed) depending on experience.

Self-employed pay rate negotiable.

Possibility to work from home on occasions.

Requirements

The ability to work methodically with an eye for detail
Intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge
Experience with Sage 50 essential

Key Duties

Bank Reconciliation
Sales/Purchase Ledger
Processing time sheets & expenses
VAT Returns
Credit Control
Answer phones
General Data Entry

Key Skills / Experience

5 years’ experience in bookkeeping and accounts
IT knowledge including Excel and Sage is a must
Well organised and can work on their own initiative
Ability to work under pressure
Must be prepared to be a team player
A flexible approach to workload would be good

Education

Accounts qualification/GCSE or equivalent (Preferred)
