Ford Sierra 3dr RS Cosworth. ⚪️
Where do you begin with this 3dr? I’ll keep it brief!

The car came in lacking its true potential with health and performance of the engine a key issue that needed major reworking.
A failing 205 block derived from a 2.0 pinto stamped block was switched to a correct Cosworth selected stamped 205 block, With a top to bottom rebuild replacing all key components. Reworking of the cylinder head due to some corrosion issues around the water ways of the cylinder head was also being repaired, valve stem oil seals had failed along with guides pretty normal stuff, with a head gasket also in some dire need of replacing it would just make sense at that stage to a full build.
Bleed valve and standard injectors were issues also found which is a recipe for disaster. Switched out to light greens for better fuel flow and spray pattern to cool that area down to get the right amount of flow in. With a boost solenoid to get the L6 ECU to control things in terms of boost!
Full engine loom replacement with a motorsport derived Raychem wiring loom, the previous loom was found to have terrible repairs and wasn’t worth the risk after all this work. It’s a vital area for replacements as a general rule of thumb now.
Fuel pump voltage was as low as 7.6V’s a full rewire of the fuel pump wiring along with rebuilding the fuel pump cradle, replacing the pump & filter with AN6 fuel lines to engine bay and replacement lines to the rear. A strong 13.6V’s has been noted at the fuel pump.
No clutch/gear engagement with the current clutch and cable setup, replacement helix organic clutch with hydraulic slave conversion installed, with various heat insulation and fixings to make the install functional and correct.
Brakes were found to be binding front & rear, rebuild calipers, replacement discs and pads, with new braided lines were also done.
Bilstein suspension replacement shock absorbers and top bearings with a full rework of all items powdercoated back to its original state, within the engine bay. Along with replacement correct fittings and fixings, To give the overall car an original but OEM+ feel/look.
Far more to list on repairs and upgrades but that’s as brief as I think I can keep it for now!
