There’s just one month until you can start using your new food waste caddies in South Kesteven ♻️📆

From 6th April, you can begin filling your indoor caddy with food waste and emptying it into your outdoor caddy, ready for the first collections starting week commencing 13th April on your usual bin day.

A quick reminder how it works:

🥕 Put food waste like peelings, leftovers, tea bags and coffee grounds in your indoor caddy
🪢 Use a liner if you wish and tie it before emptying
🗑️ Tip it into your outdoor food waste caddy
🔒 Push the handle down to lock the lid
⏰ Put it out before 7.30am on your normal bin day

Your food waste will be recycled and turned into renewable energy and fertiliser, helping reduce the amount going into general waste 🌱⚡

📣 Service Update for Our Bourne Area Customers 📣

We’d like to let our customers in the Bourne area know that, from 20/06/25, your bin cleaning service will be provided by Green clean Lincolnshire as part of a planned handover.

All cleans will continue as normal, but we’ll be cancelling current subscriptions through our payment provider. The new owners will be in touch soon to set up payments via their system — no action needed until then.

If you have an annual subscription this is being honoured by the new provider and you will not need to pay anything until that subscription is due for renewal. Please make sure you pay your renewal to Green clean Lincolnshire and not to us.

We want to thank all our Bourne customers for your support over the years. It’s been a pleasure, and we’re confident you’ll be well looked after by the new team.

📣 💛 Announcement 💛 📣

It is with deep sadness that we share the sudden passing of our much-loved team member of five years, Tony.

Tony was more than just a colleague — as a small family-run business, he truly became part of our family. We welcomed him with open arms, and he brought so much life, laughter, and kindness with him. As many of you will know, he was always smiling and ready for a laugh.

Please bare with us as we come to terms with this huge loss. It’s not just a loss for the business, but a deeply personal one, as we’ve lost a dear friend. We're doing our best to support Tony’s son and partner, Wendy, through this incredibly difficult time as his passing was sudden and has left us all shocked and heartbroken.

Please take comfort in knowing that Tony passed peacefully, surrounded by his son, family and Bryan (owner of Wash My Wheelie Bin) by his side.

In line with Tony’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Instead, a small private gathering will be held to remember him and celebrate his life.

All we ask from you, our valued customers, is for a little grace and patience over the coming weeks. We’re still committed to delivering the service you expect from us, but with Bryan now covering what was a two-person job while grieving the loss of his friend, there may be occasional delays of up to two days. If possible, please keep your bins empty to help us stay on track.

Due to one of our drivers being hospitalised, some bins may not be cleaned this week.

Please email us at [email protected] if your bin is missed and we can arrange for an added bin clean as compensation.

We are trying our hardest to get temporary cover so as little disruption is made as possible but please bare with us.
