To our Fareham customers:
Following the attached announcement from the council, this is certainly going to affect our rounds. We are asking you to please let us know of any changes to bin collection days when these letters start being distributed, and we will be trying to keep track on the council website.
This appears to be a massive change, so we will keep you updated as best we can when we find more out.
Thank you in advance for your help and understanding with this.
Kind regards,
Charlotte & David
➡️ Latest news - Your Bin Days May be Changing!
To get ready for the introduction of food waste collections in March next year, and to provide residents with an improved and more efficient waste collection service, Fareham Borough Council is making changes to its bin collection rounds.
This means that many residents’ bin collection days are likely to change from 3 November.
All residents will receive a letter in the post to confirm their new bin collection days, alongside a bin calendar for the rest of 2025 and details of any changes during the festive period. Even those residents who will not be affected by the change will receive a letter to confirm this, to avoid any confusion.
Until 31 October, residents should continue to put their bins out according to their usual collection schedule.
An additional one-off collection will be added to the rounds for residents that have a significant gap between their old and new general refuse (green top bin) collection days. Those residents affected will be informed of this additional collection in their letter. These collections will begin on the week commencing 27 October through to 7 November.
