The Laundry Lounge Welcome to The Laundry Lounge page. The Laundry Lounge is a Launderette, dry cleaners, we also do repairs & alterations and full service washes.

We are the only Launderette in the UK to offer free wifi access to our customers, and you can watch television with up to date news and programmes. We do service washes for local business and families on the go. We also provide an in house Dry cleaners and a repairs and alterations service. We also provide a full ironing service and we also provide full football and rugby kit service washes, all i

Easter Sunday we will be OPEN 9-6pm but no attendant so bring your detergents and don’t forget you need change £2,£1, 50p and 20ps.

Bank holiday Monday we are OPEN 9-8pm an attendant from 10-12pm.

We have noticed in the last 18 months a decline in walk in customers this being due to traffic road works happening outside the laundry lounge so difficulties in parking and now also the massive factor of cost of living crisis.
The laundry lounge have decided to scrap our afternoon evening hours. This for us has been one of the quietest winters we have had. If however it changes we will bring in afternoon evening hours back but right now I can’t justify paying staff when there are no paying customers☹️
New attendant hours will be
Monday 9.30-2pm
Tuesday 9.30-2pm
Wednesday non attendant
Thursday 9.30-2pm
Friday 9.30-2pm
Saturday 10-2pm
Sunday 10-2pm

This is immediately effective from 1st March 2026

You can wash and dry here (self service) no appointments needed just pop in at anytime within opening hours
We offer service washes (you drop off washing and collect when ready)
You can also just bring you wet washing in to dry, (quick drying, big loads and cheap)
The laundry lounge is clean and tidy with comfy sofas
