I have no idea how we’ve already arrived in August! It’s been a busy few weeks, and I’ve finally got both of my looms set up so I can finish some weaving projects in time for Herefordshire Art Week in September.
This year, I’ll be back exhibiting at Hoarwithy Church, looking forward to sharing what I’ve been working on and hopefully I’ll see some of you there.

One thing that comes up quite often when I’m chatting about my weaving business is that I hardly ever share photos of myself.
Funnily enough, we were talking about exactly that at the preview evening at Wobage!
I know I’m not the only one who finds it easier to share the work than the person behind it. It’s probably one of the reasons changing my name to wovenbygabriella recently felt like the right step. It feels a little more personal, even if I’m still getting used to putting myself out there.
Thankfully Dave was kind enough to take a few photos that evening, so I thought I’d finally share one of them. (That’s me in the black too! 😅)
Thanks for making an appearance too, .is.a_gardener 😉🤍

June so far has been a month full of natural inspiration.

From the most beautiful organic flowers gathered in ceramic vases, to cutting flowers in the walled garden, tending the allotment, and wandering through the wild beauty of Nant-y-Bedd Garden. Enjoying a swim and meeting a very lovely cat along the way 🌿✨

In between, I’ve been planning a new warp, carrying out some loom maintenance, and finalising pieces for my next event, taking place on 4th July in the lovely old barn at Wobage as part of Faropen.

I’m looking forward to sharing the new work with you there.
