I wasn't going to say anything but you know what....
I was stood outside the supermarket chatting with a friend.
Normal day. Normal conversation. Nothing dramatic.
Someone walked past us, stopped, looked my friend up and down… then pointed at me and said:
“I wouldn’t associate with that one.
She’ll give you a bad name.”
I honestly thought I’d misheard her.
She didn’t know me.
She hadn’t spoken to me.
She’d read nothing about me — other than whatever story she’d made up in her own head.
I was wearing my work top.
The one for my cleaning business.
The one I wear with pride.
I asked her if she’d actually read it properly.
She looked me up and down like I was something she’d stepped in.
So I said it.
“I run a cleaning service.”
And I walked away.
But it stuck with me.
Not because I’m ashamed — I’m not.
But because it reminded me how quickly people judge, and how confidently they do it.
So if you ever feel looked down on, written off, or reduced to a label — please remember this:
You don’t owe strangers an explanation.
Your job doesn’t define your worth.
And the people who point the hardest usually know the least.
Anyway… that’s my little reminder for today.
Be kind. You’ve no idea what someone’s built.

So there I was… minding my own business… hoovering the stairs…

when Hetty the hoover decided shes had HAD ENOUGH of my nonsense
and took a full swing at my head 💥🧠
