There has been an update put up on gov.uk website on 21st jan.

WE WILL ONLY ENTER PROPERTY IF IT IS UNOCCUPIED. THIS IS FOR THE SAFTEY OF OURSELF & OUR CLIENTS...

As previously on guidelines we were not aloud into peoples homes unless it was essential and we were providing services in support of a clean and safe living environment for people in vulnerable circumstance, living with a disability and as a result of that vulnerable circumstance or disability are unable to clean their own home.

Tradespeople, home repairs, and working in someone else’s home.

The Coronavirus regulations require that work carried out in someone else’s home for the maintenance, upkeep or functioning of the home must only be carried out where it is essential or

((where that house is unoccupied ))

People must not go into other people’s houses for that type of work where it is not essential. This applies to anyone carrying out work, voluntary or charitable services. Businesses who employ people to carry out this work should consider if it is essential before asking their employees to enter someone else’s home.

Update on covid !!!

Due to nature of our work and being in at least 3-4 homes a day. I think we would fall under phase 2-3. If anybody is wanting there cleans done , the only way I can see possible at moment is if the house being cleaned has no one present in it. We understand there are a lot of people working from home with kids at home aswel which could prove more difficult to accommodate.

If you have any queries please feel free to contact us on 07900350553.

Or email us at [email protected]

The Scottish government has identified four phases for easing the restrictions :

Phase 1: Virus not yet contained but cases are falling. From 28 May you should be able to meet another household outside in small numbers. Sunbathing is allowed, along with some outdoor activities like golf and fishing. Garden centres and drive-through takeaways can reopen, some outdoor work can resume, and childminding services can begin.

Phase 2: Virus controlled. You can meet larger groups outdoors, and meet another household indoors. Construction, factories, warehouses, laboratories and small shops can resume work. Playgrounds and sports courts can reopen, and professional sport can begin again.

Phase 3: Virus suppressed. You can meet people from more than one household indoors. Non-essential offices would reopen, along with gyms, museums, libraries, cinemas, larger shops, pubs, restaurants, hairdressers and dentists. Live events could take place with restricted numbers and physical distancing restrictions. Schools should reopen from 11 August.

Phase 4: Virus no longer a significant threat. University and college campuses can reopen in full, mass gatherings are allowed. All workplaces open and public transport is back at full capacity.

UPDATE !!!

We have put this update up for people feeling that there clean is essential to them and can’t manage to do on there own as they have been doing. Everybody’s circumstances are different and we fully agree with that.

We ask if you are in high risk category, fall under the age restriction category, pregnant, any one in the home self isolating due to symptoms or any underlying issues to please continue to try and do as you are doing just now , for your own SAFTEY.

WORKING IN PEOPLES HOMES AS A TRADE PERSON NANNY OR CLEANER.

You are a tradesperson carrying out essential repairs and maintenance in people’s homes, or are carrying out other work in a home such as cleaning or paid-for childcare in a child’s home. You can continue work, providing that you are well and have no symptoms. No work should be carried out by a tradesperson, cleaner or nanny who has coronavirus symptoms, however mild, or when someone in their own household has symptoms.

Tradespeople should assess whether the visit is essential or if the work can be safely postponed. There may be alternatives to a visit, such as a phone or video call. If the visit cannot be postponed you should agree the procedures in advance.

DURING A VISIT

You should notify all clients in advance of your arrival. On entry to the home you should wash your hands using soap and water for 20 seconds. You should wash your hands regularly, particularly after blowing your nose, sneezing or coughing, and when leaving the property. Where facilities to wash hands are not available, hand sanitiser should be used, and you should carry this with you at all times.

If you are a tradesperson or cleaner, you should maintain a safe distance (at least 2 metres) from any household occupants at all times, and ensure good ventilation in the area where you are working, including opening the window.

If you are a nanny, you should maintain a safe distance (at least 2 metres) from the household occupants you are not providing care for as much as possible.

If someone in the household is EXTREMELY VUNARABLE or has coronavirus symptoms
NO work should be carried out in any household which is isolating or where an individual is being shielded, unless your work is to remedy a direct risk to the safety of the household, such as emergency plumbing or repair, or if a young child’s parents must attend an emergency hospital appointment.

Tradespeople undertaking work that needs to go ahead in a household which is self-isolating or where an individual is being shielded should take additional steps to ensure the safety of the customer and themselves:

You should ask the householders to STAY IN A SEPERATE ROOM while the work is carried out. If this is not possible, they should stay as far away from you as possible
prior arrangements should be made with vulnerable people to avoid any face-to-face contact – for example, when answering the door
you should be particularly strict about hand washing and respiratory hygiene. Once the work is completed, you should tell the customer which surfaces and areas you have come in to contact with. However, you should carry out this cleaning yourself prior to leaving. Read the guidance on cleaning and waste.
No work should be carried out by a tradesperson, cleaner or nanny who has coronavirus symptoms, however mild, or where someone in their household has symptoms.
