A comprehensive new roof installation was completed on this property in Bearsden, delivering both enhanced durability and a high-quality finish. The main roof was re-slated using Old English Northstone Donard slates, chosen for their traditional appearance, robust performance, and ability to complement the character of the home. All associated leadwork was upgraded to Code 5 lead, ensuring long-lasting weather protection around critical junctions such as valleys, chimneys, and abutments.
To further improve the roofline and overall aesthetics, new PVC soffits, fascia boards, and guttering were installed. This low-maintenance system provides clean, modern lines while offering excellent resistance to weathering.
The flat roof on the rear dormer was also completely renewed, using a charcoal torch-on felt system. This high-performance membrane offers superior waterproofing and is designed to withstand the varied Scottish climate.
Overall, the project results in a fully refreshed, durable, and visually cohesive roofing system, built to modern standards while maintaining a classic appearance.
