So this is the first edition of our Allotment Diaries! 📝
We became tenants of a gorgeous plot at one of our local allotments this week and couldn't wait to get stuck in!

Our plot has a stunning grape vine, full of sweet grapes, but had recently become a bit of a triphid, taking over the compost area and the neighbouring path. Our first job was to cut it back and take back control of it!

We then tidied the compost area, clearing nettles and lots of bind w**d!
Charlotte then started making a great job of clearing one of the beds, which had lots of grass and old thick board on.

I decided to go to the end of the plot, find our boundary and then dig out 2 squares at either end. Our vision is to have these squares filled with flowers, with a bench positioned in between where we can sit with a cuppa and admire our hard work!
A good start made this weekend and we can't wait to show you our progress next week!
