Took a long time to sort out this mess !!!
Burning poor quality fuel and slumbering it overnight.
A few before and during photos .
Now is the time to get your chimney checked over before the burning season kicks off .

A fireback replacement done today.
Now is the time of the year to get all your fireplace and stove maintenance carried out .
Come the autumn time things will be a lot busier and you will have to wait .

The moisture content of the logs you burn in your stove should be 18% or less .
Any more and you are asking for bother .

Unfortunately I had to condemn this chimney as there was smoke coming out of the three pots .
This meant that there was a leak from the main chimney in to the other two flues !!!

Any wonder there was no heat going to the radiators !! 🤷‍♂️

A demonstration on the workings of a back boiler . Pulling the damper towards you lets the heat up through the boiler which in turn heats the radiators and hot water more . Push it away and this will put more heat into the room but less to your radiators and hot water .
