Unfortunately I had to condemn this chimney as there was smoke coming out of the three pots .
This meant that there was a leak from the main chimney in to the other two flues !!!

Any wonder there was no heat going to the radiators !! 🤷‍♂️

A demonstration on the workings of a back boiler . Pulling the damper towards you lets the heat up through the boiler which in turn heats the radiators and hot water more . Push it away and this will put more heat into the room but less to your radiators and hot water .

Without a shadow of doubt the carbon monoxide alarm saved an elderly couple lately . Is yours working? All fire and carbon monoxide alarms have a limited life usually between 7 to 10 years depending on the model .

It’s an old wives tale that you don’t have to get your chimney swept and inspected after a chimney fire .
Some people think that after a fire there will be nothing left up there !!Always get it checked out.
