Dear June,

This isn’t funny anymore.

I’ve got chimney liners to fit, customers waiting, and you’ve apparently confused yourself with November.

Kind regards,
A very damp chimney sweep. ☔️😂

Another stove installation completed! 🔥

This time it's a Highlander 7 fitted into a traditional hand-built fireplace crafted by a skilled brick mason. Solid workmanship, built to last, and perfectly suited to the character of the listed house.

No flimsy brick slips here that'll be falling off next year (because believe me they do!)– just proper brickwork and a quality stove done right. 👌

There’s something special about keeping traditions alive 🔥

Carried out the yearly routine sweeping of an open fire in the beautiful setting of Dunsop Bridge today. Crisp air, peaceful surroundings, and the simple satisfaction of a job well done.

Nothing beats maintaining a fireplace the proper way with a good manual sweep—ready for many more cosy nights ahead.

🐦 It’s NOT too late to protect your home from nesting birds!

Spring is here, and birds are actively looking for warm, sheltered spots—like your chimney. Taking action now can save you hassle, cost, and stress later.

⚠️ Problems a nest in your chimney can cause:
• Blocked airflow leading to poor ventilation and damp
• Smoke backing up into your home
• Increased fire risk 🔥
• Unpleasant smells and noise
• Bird mites and other pests entering your home

✅ A simple chimney check or fitting a guard can make all the difference.

Don’t wait until it becomes a problem—protect your property today!

I’ve had a cracking weekend away with Stove Industry Supplies at the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps show 🔥

Spent the last couple of days talking flues, swapping soot stories, and catching up with chimney pros from all over the country — turns out we’re a right lively bunch outside of rooftops 😄

Also had the chance to show off some of the brilliant SIS products, including the new Hamer stove range 🔥 🔥

All in all, great people, great banter, and only slightly less soot than usual 👌

Cosy nights and crackling fires are a welcome comfort on colder evenings but it’s important to use them safely.

If your log burner or open fire is back in use, make sure your chimney has been swept and your appliance properly serviced to help reduce the risk of chimney fires.

Keep logs, coal and other fuels stored well away from the heat, and always use a spark guard to stop embers escaping.

Don’t let a preventable chimney fire undo the comfort of your evening.
