Sometimes, even the best-laid plans don’t quite go to plan.

We recently attended a property to carry out a drainage survey and, as always, requested access to a water supply onsite. When we arrived - no water. Not ideal when you need it to carry out essential testing.

So, our engineer improvised. Bucket in hand, our engineer sourced water from a nearby stream and got the job done anyway.

Our dye testing is a key part of what we do. By adding an environmentally friendly dye into the roof water system, we can clearly identify whether surface water (like roof drainage) is incorrectly connected to the foul system - helping to prevent cross-contamination and ensuring everything works as it should.

It’s all part of the job: problem-solving, thinking on our feet, and making sure our customers still get the thorough, professional service they expect, whatever the circumstances.

As you can see this site did have surface water mixed in with the foul water.

Earlier this week, we had the opportunity to visit their workshops and collect two new X40 CCTV units. We were really impressed with both the quality of the equipment and how user-friendly the systems are.

Only flush the 3 P’s… 🚽 P*e, Poo, and (toilet) Paper.

Everything else - wipes, cotton pads, nappies, sanitary products - belongs in the bin ❌

Flushing the wrong items can lead to blocked drains, costly repairs, and environmental damage. A simple habit change can save a lot of hassle (and money!).

Keep it simple. Stick to the 3 P’s 👍

Week 1 Complete 👷‍♂️

We’re underway on a 4-5 week upgrade at a business park, improving both foul and surface water systems across the site.

🔧 What’s being delivered:
• 3 new Marsh Ensign commercial sewage treatment plants
• Full refurbishment of existing pump station
• Installation of oil interceptor for surface water management
