🎥 Watch the final obstruction being removed from this 225mm concrete stormwater line.

We were instructed by our client to carry out drainage works on a 225mm concrete stormwater line that was approximately 90% blocked by tree roots, preventing rainwater from flowing away effectively.

Our team has been carrying out mechanical root cutting, high-pressure water jetting and CCTV surveys to restore the line and prepare it for a full drain reline.

This video captures the moment the final root mass, along with a large piece of wood, was successfully removed from the last section of the pipeline, leaving it clear and ready for the next stage of the project.

Another great result and a perfect example of how the right equipment and expertise can restore heavily obstructed drainage systems before rehabilitation.

Two for the Price of One Sunday Blockage! 🚐🪠

Today we attended a customer's property to resolve a blockage affecting both the sinks and shower.

Using our mechanical equipment, we successfully cleared the blockage and removed a significant fatberg and soap build-up from inside the drain line. Once the debris was fully removed, the system was flowing freely again, restoring full use of the customer's facilities.

🌙 Late-Night Call-Out... with a
Fireworks Finale! 🎆

We were called out late at night to attend a premises where a men's urinal was blocked and overflowing.

On inspection, we removed the urinal trap and found a significant build-up of hard scale, which was causing the blockage. We removed the scale and carried out a mechanical descale on site, restoring the flow and getting everything back up and running.

Thankfully, we managed to complete the job in time to step outside and enjoy the fireworks!

Another blockage cleared and another happy customer — even better when you can finish the job and catch the fireworks at the same time! 🔧💦🎆

We attended a property where a blocked drain was affecting all of the site's facilities. Our initial attempt to clear the blockage by jetting through the interceptor rodding point was unsuccessful, indicating a more serious issue.

To investigate further, we emptied the blocked chamber using our vacuum tanker, allowing us to carry out a CCTV drain survey. The inspection revealed that the sewer line had broken and collapsed, meaning an emergency excavation was required.

We called in LD Plant Hire Ltd with their excavator to begin the excavation. Once the collapsed section had been located and exposed, we removed the damaged clay interceptor along with the collapsed section of the drain and replaced it with a new PVC pipe.

The new pipework was securely supported before the excavation was carefully backfilled and the area reinstated.

With the collapsed section removed and the new drainage installed, the system is now fully operational and all facilities at the property are flowing as they should.

A great team effort to get the issue resolved quickly for our customer. 🚧🪏🕳️

Stormwater cleaning and repair works are currently under way for our client.

During the investigation, we identified a 225mm concrete stormwater drain that was heavily blocked with tree roots and built-up mud, significantly restricting the flow of water.

Using specialist equipment, we're clearing the obstruction and carrying out the necessary repairs to restore the drain to full working order.
Proactive maintenance like this helps prevent flooding, protects infrastructure, and ensures the stormwater network continues to perform efficiently.
