Roof completed over the last couple of days. This roof was fully hand scraped, with all edges thoroughly brushed before being treated with a professional-strength biocide to kill organic growth and help slow future regrowth.
We also emptied all the gutters, removed all moss and debris from site, and left the property clean and tidy.

Another roof cleaning project completed a few weeks ago.
This roof was carefully hand-scraped to remove the moss, with all roof edges thoroughly brushed clean for a tidy finish. We then applied a professional-strength biocide treatment to kill off any remaining organic growth and help slow future moss, algae, and lichen regrowth

During the summer we're busy cleaning roofs, but as the colder months approach we're looking at expanding the services we offer over the winter.

One idea we've already had is:

Back in Nairn on the same street for another roof clean! It's great to see the difference between roofs we've already completed and the one we're working on today.

The roof we're cleaning today was last professionally cleaned around 7 years ago, according to the homeowner. Over time, moss naturally returns, which is why regular maintenance helps keep your roof looking its best and reduces the build-up that can lead to blocked gutters and other issues.

Another roof cleaned by hand last Friday, with a professional-strength biocide treatment applied on Wednesday once the weather allowed.
The moss has been safely removed by hand, the gutters emptied, and now it's time for the biocide to do the hard work. Over the coming weeks and months it will continue to clean the roof, killing off any remaining organic growth and slowing down future regrowth, leaving the roof looking brighter and cleaner over time.

Out with the old, in with the new! 🚐
After plenty of hard work, it's time to say goodbye to our trusty Citroën Berlingo and welcome the new van to Moir External Cleaning.
The Berlingo has served us well over the last two years, taking us all over Moray and the Highlands, helping customers with roof cleaning, gutter clearing. It's been a reliable little workhorse and has played a big part in building our business.
The new van gives us much more space for equipment, allowing us to work more efficiently and safely while continuing to provide the high standard of service our customers expect.
We'd like to say a huge thank you to all our customers for your continued support. Every booking, recommendation and share has helped our business grow to this point, and we genuinely appreciate it.
Here's to the next chapter for Moir External Cleaning. We look forward to helping even more customers keep their properties looking their best.

The wet weather this week has meant we've had to swap roof cleaning for gutter clearing and quoting, making the most of the conditions instead of letting them stop us.
We've been out emptying blocked gutters to keep rainwater flowing properly and helping prevent costly water damage, while also visiting customers to provide free, no-obligation roof cleaning quotes.
These are the only photos we managed to grab this week—we were absolutely clarted after working in the rain and mud, so the camera didn't come out as often as it should have!

Another roof cleaning completed this week.
This roof was fully hand-scraped, the roof edges were brushed, the gutters were cleared, and it was finished with a professional-strength biocide treatment.
I'll be back on this street later this year to clean another property, so I'll take an updated photo to show how much cleaner this roof looks once the biocide has had time to work.
