VW Golf TDi π
This vehicle needed a good clean inside and out due to being a run around for the children. The outside had lots of tree sap, bird poo and all sorts on it! The inside seats needed a good going over with the Vax machine.
We started with the outside as itβs so warm at the moment. First was some fall out remover on the wheels and then some citrus cleaner on the body. This will break down contaminants on both the wheels and the paintwork. To let it set, we snow foamed a good thick layer on top and let it dwell for 20 minutes. Then it needed a power wash which got most of the dirt and grime off.
The wheels needed to be cleaned four times in order to get them to a good standard. Original wheels will take a long time to clean if they havenβt been treated well in the past. Then the body got a wash down twice with a strong shampoo and thick wash mitt. A tar remover was used on the sides of the vehicle to eliminate any black spots of tar.
Once this was done, and after a full rinse, the car was dried and a lime scale remover quick detailer was applied. This eliminates any water spots and streaking. The tyres had some tyre shine applied to finish off the outside.
The inside had a good vacuum and brush out and then it was onto the Vax machine for the seats. This is a very simple but long process. Extracting dirt from seats is always satisfying so we donβt mind doing it! The mats had the same treatment along with the boot liner. Then once the plastics were dressed and windows cleaned, she was ready to roll.
This Golf was a pleasure to work on and in great condition for the age. Itβs such a shame that the front and rear bumpers have suffered from lacquer peel π but the owner is sorting this in a few weeks.
