Lovely urinal unblock, always amazes me why people carry on using them when the are clearly blocked and there are free flowing toilets located next to them. I am not complaining, it keeps me in work !

This Buchan trap kept suffering from repeat blockages, Someone had previously excavated down to the trap and seen the water, gas and electric supplies in close proximity and decided to leave the faulty trap in situ. I managed to remove the trap and make a manhole base for the new raisers to bed onto and then use a concrete top section for the Wrekin B125 600mm x 450mm cast frame and cover to sit on.

I was asked to investigate the cause of there always being a damp area on the garage floor around the base of the soil vent pipe. The camera identified that the vertical plastic pipe wasn't aligned correctly with the clay rest bend that in turn was joined to blistered pitch fibre.
I excavated at the base of the soil vent pipe and could see that the collar on the clay rest bend was damaged and water had been escaping and washing out the ground below the concrete pad.
I installed a new plastic rest bend and section of underground pipe to rectify this issue and reinstated the garage floor back to its original condition. Downstream was pitch fibre that was reformed and lined whist upstream had a new soil vent pipe and waste pipes installed by Pentland Plumbing

Called to a blocked pot chamber serving the soil vent pipes to find that the cause was a 6 meter run full of scale that had fallen into and totally blocked the back drop. Removed all scale and the previously lost customers rod attachment. All flowing now

A couple of visits to this problem highlighted that when the toilets were flushed the paper and water traveled down the soil vent pipe at such a rate that when it entered the chamber outside it went straight across the channel and started backing up. Not only this but when the chamber backed up the sewage was escaping out onto the blocked paving through a really poorly installed connection between the plastic and the clay pipes. The easiest way to rectify the issue was to excavate and install a new rest bend and sweeping bend which now directs the toilet waste straight into the channel. The system is now water tight.

I was called to a blocked downstairs toilet at a relatively new build property. These caps are used during the construction of the building when the ground works are being carried out. They are sometimes either not removed when the soil vent pipes are installed or simply just fall into the drain system. This one was the cause of the blockage and was safely removed through a back drop and won't be causing any further issues. All cleaned through and flow restored.

This weeks work started with a slow running and frequently blocking upstairs toilet. The horizontal waste pipe beneath the floor has negative gradient and has allowed scale etc to sit and stagnate over the years. This required cable machine work from the toilet end and high pressure water jetting from outside to remove the obstructions and restore a flow.

Another job where builders rubble and broken ceramic from a replaced toilet had fallen into the drain and over the years created a solid blockage. All removed and free flowing again.

One of 2 jobs this week where broken ceramic from a changed over toilet had fallen into the drain, sat stationary for years and allowed heavy scale to build up due to the restriction to the flow. One of the last pictures shows the difference to the drain whilst cleaning / descaling it.
