Take a good look at the DO's & DONT's when using Caustic Cleaner. Yes it's cheap, yes it can clean your racks. BUT, YES it can totally damage your oven, floor, units and most importantly YOU if you spill or splash it on yourself. I've seen many ovens damaged with aggresive products like these. Seized and rusted parts where the cleaner has got to the fan and screws. Also marks left on the enamel where it has run down the inside. These products damage the inside of the oven making it harder to clean the next time around. Then most people complain about the acrid smell and taste that hangs around for weeks after use.
