Job Overview:

We are currently recruiting support workers for two separate supported living services: one with 2 residents and the other with 3 residents. The homes are near Halewood, Merseyside (L6 postcode area). ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE WITHIN REASONABLE DISTANCE FROM THIS LOCATION.

We are currently seeking dedicated Support Workers to join our team in providing compassionate care to individuals in need. The services we provide include supported living; residential, nursing and respite care; supporting people with complex health and social needs; dementia support and transitional services, enabling choice, control and increased independence depending on the location (home) you will be working at.
As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in assisting and supporting individuals with various care needs, including medication administration, behavior management, and dementia care.
What we look for in all candidates, whether experienced or not, is a positive attitude, empathy for the people we support and a willingness to learn.

Requirements:

- Previous experience will be an advantage, but not essential.
- A compassionate and caring attitude towards supporting vulnerable individuals
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and their families
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality care services

The opportunity
We have been given a great opportunity and have a secured a contract with a large health and social care panel in Barnstaple.
We Currently have Lots of Care Homes across Somerset and Devon looking for compassionate people to help fill in vacancies they have to ensure the services are safe.
You will get support from other staff and the Service Manager, and the homes are looking for someone consistent to give the residents as less disruption as possible.
This is a fantastic opportunity for staff who want to be exposed to different support work environments and to be able to choose the shifts they want and a great way to enter into the world of care. We are a temporary recruitment agency. Shifts are consistent as long as you do a good job!!
No experience is necessary as long as you have a caring nature and common sense. You will get other staff on shift with you as well.
Samaras Healthcare Recruitment Ltd are looking for confident workers who are passionate about looking after service users from all walks of life and putting them at the centre of their support.
There are 2 homes. one is for mental health and for female only, the other is for care and can be either male or female.
Job Description
To support service users to live their life the way they choose.
To ensure service users are at the centre of their support and is person-centred
Helping with day-to-day tasks such as mental health, money management and health eating
To ensure care is delivered with the upmost dignity and respect
Comply with the homes rules.
To fill out daily reports
Requirements
DBS
o Either have an enhanced DBS adult check in the last 12 months or
o Be on the update system or
o Complete a new one through our agency at Enhance level - payment met by employee
Training
o To complete CPD accredited training though external providers or Samaras Healthcare Recruitment Ltd .
References
o 2 references, 1 must be a UK employer if you have experience and must be your current or last employer
We need staff to be in it for the right reasons and be happy to be nurtured by Samaras to be great workers for our clients.
It is a legal requirement for support workers in England and with our care services to be competent in the field of Health and Social care.
