Two & a half years ago the care company I worked for gave us 5 days notice that it was closing down.
I had no idea what i was going to do. Care work had been my life for nearly 20yrs.
Things happen for a reason though & I decided to take a chance and start my own business.
How would I get clients though?
Would the business take off?
Is it something I could do, so late in my working life?
It was a chance I was willing to take.
So I got some cards printed, set off on foot and posted them through some doors, the good old fashioned way.
The first enquiry i received was from this lovely family.
They needed a weekly clean in their beautiful home & it was an absolute pleasure to do. Every week I was greeted by the family dog, a beautiful golden labrador who quickly became my best friend. She followed me all around the house for her belly rubs.
Today, I did my final clean and i was given these beautiful flowers, biscuits and card.
Reading the card made me feel so appreciated. The words mean so much to me.
So i just wanted to say thank you for trusting me & allowing me to clean your beautiful home since day 1. You helped me build my confidence to make my business a success..
