Thursday evening out starting out on the air rifle range. Got my new scope and night vision zeroed in before a night out rat shooting.

With harvest well underway and fields being cut the rodents are now starting to move back into farm yards and buildings.

Managed to get out a few nights this week.🐀

Monday night on a cattle farm shot over 700 rats this year there. Not much activity on farm now but managed 38 more.

Thursday night on a pig farm. Was heavily infested but with a few evenings shooting and regular visits topping up with poison we have dropped the numbers significantly. Just 45 collected last night. Makes a change as we usually get well over 100 👌

A new pig farm contract started last month. A full site survey found high rodent activity was found around the main farm barn, straw barn and feed bins.

As the farm was highly infested urgent action was needed to reduce numbers. shooting with air rifles, night vision and thermal spotter was the perfect approach to reduce numbers quickly.

On the first visit we managed to collect 122 rats in a couple of hours.🐀

Working alongside the owner I will continue shooting the farm and advise him on tiding and cleaning areas to create a clean environment that is less likely to encourage rodents.

Lots of large rodent stations have been set up with regular visits to top up with poison to help reduce numbers and bring the rodent activity to a manageable level.

A special thanks to the chaps that work alongside me shooting on several farms. 👌
