Huge thanks to Mark Bell at Rabbit Fever " for my new Poachers bow back ferret box.

The quality build of this box is outstanding and will comftably hold one standard ferret or two micro's whilst out for a day in the fields.
Looking forward to getting out with it next season and I have no doubt this box will last for many seasons to come 👌

Pleased to say that Nathan now has a very good wireless night vision set up.
This means we can rat shoot at night, together and double the standard take for an evening.
This evening didnt however go as planned as the winds blew strong and we forgot to take our special bait along! (probably just as important as the guns) So the going was tough!
This evening has however gave Nathan the chance to use his new set up and get familiar with it.
7 shot and retreived before being pushed on by the strong gale force winds this evening.
Fingers crossed the next outing goes better than planned and its back into double figures.
Return visits should ensure the population is decreased and maintained over time, consistancy is key!

Little look out tonight on the rats.
Started off nice and steady then dropped off once they had became aware of my presence.
17 in total shot and retrieved by the end the night. Plenty of Juveniles shot but the big ones continued to grab them and drag them away before they even became cold and stiff!
Falcon FN19 .22 P*P equipt with Night vision and peanut oil bait worked the magic again.
Poor quality picture as my camera is broken so it had to be taken on the front facing camera.

Night vision torch got all temperamental this evening so had to revert to red lamp in one hand, Falcon FN19 in the other...

Night vision torch got all temperamental this evening so had to revert to red lamp in one hand, Falcon FN19 in the other.
Hard going but still managed to pop off 15 in a couple of hours along with 4 in my friends live trap.
Grand total of 19 this evening 💪
