Big news great news!

Izzy wizzys new recruit! My hard working sister. She has left her job of 13 years and her manager role to become part of our team.

She will be taking over the business for me when I go on maternity !!

What better person to trust in charge

I will be introducing her to everyone !

Today is her first official day!

Yesterday afternoon I got a pain in my left eye when I walked into the kitchen and looked out the window...

Fast forward a few hours I was sat with sunglasses on in a darkened room wincing in pain as my eye moved or any light hit it.

I rang 111 to be made an appointment at Shotley bridge.

They don’t have an eye department so I was told they would make a referal to Darlington or I could myself ring Sunderland eye infirmary and see if I could get in.

They wouldn’t see me unless my eye was basically hanging out of my head. The woman’s exact words.

So they made me an app for 08.30 this morning.

I didn’t sleep all night the pain was so bad I convinced myself I had a brain tumour.

It felt like someone had smashed my left eye in with a hammer.. I was literally walking round the house being lead by jack and Izzy as I couldn’t by this point even open my eye.

Jack drove me to Sunderland eye infirmary this morning and I sat in the van with my eyes closed all the way there still in a pair of sunglasses.

Turns out I have an ulcer on my left eye and boy is the pain of that a firm 10/10

I wear or should I say I wore monthly contact lenses for over a year. Changing them every month or sometimes forgetting and going over.

Well I’ve learnt my lesson

They had to numb my eye to take swabs and send them off.

I’m having to put eye drops on my eyes every 30 minutes and have to do this for the next 7 days.

I’ve been told I can’t drive and if my eye isn’t any better by the time I go back Tuesday morning I will be admitted to hospital.

Jack has literally been to work for me today with the lasses and he has been there for me every second.

I’m
Stressed about work because I’m so busy this coming week and the fact I can’t even drive the lasses that need me to jobs is going to kill me.

But like everyone keeps saying. I’d rather that then lose my eyesight.

The last few hours I’ve been able to open my eye and look at my phone screen which was merely impossible yesterday and this morning so the eye drops must be working.

I would advise anyone that wears contacts or monthlies. Don’t sleep in them. Change them regular and don’t think it wont ever happen to you because it will!
