The Great British Sewing Bee - i actually managed to watch it on the same night it was aired.

Wow, wow wow was absolutely blown away with the garments made at the end of the show this week. Absolutely brilliant garments, loved how well thought out they were for the different causes they were highlighting.
I thought the t shirt to knicker challenge was a tough one, for a small garment there is a lot of fiddly bits to them and stretch fabrics are not the easiest to work with.
I know a lot of the sewing was done on the overlocker but one thing they didn’t show was whether they used maraflex threads when using the sewing machine.
If you haven’t used maraflex threads with stretch fabrics, you definitely need to give it a try. They are a game changer!
No more switching to a zig zag stitch or reaching for the overlocker — you can use a straight stitch and still get beautifully flexible seams.
Maraflex threads also helps optimise thread consumption while giving a clean, professional finish.
Amazingly it can stretch to 80% of its original length.
Such a simple switch, but it makes a huge difference.
