I’m heartbroken to say goodbye ...😔💔

We are permanently closed due to COVID-19 complications 🦠⛔️🏡

Picked the wrong year to open a business and it’s time to say goodbye.
But I think goodbyes are sad and I much rather to say hello...

What a fantastic gesture ❤️

So we will be slightly changing how we do things. Sadly we will no longer be opening during the day for coffee etc. Even with a hatch we don’t feel now is the time to encourage folk out and about ❤️

Next our collection service will change, we will need you to either have a delivery or stay in your car and text, we will then bring your order to you in a safe manner. We won’t be able to allow you into the shop any longer 😞

Finally we have had a chat and as The Selkie has always been about family for us we wanted to extend an offer. We know so many fab projects are taking care of lunch so we wanted to help with dinner. ❤️

On Wednesday from 3-6 we will cook for anyone who needs a hot meal. If you are struggling and food is a problem we will deliver some fresh, home made food to you. We wish we could do it every night but we can’t 😞

So on Tuesday a menu will go up and all you have to do is message, text or call with what you like and if you can collect or you need it delivered. We will accommodate as many families as possible. If you feel embarrassed (please don’t) just tell us that Aunty Nicki sent you and we will do the rest ❤️

Growing up I watched my Mum go without food for me to eat. My friends and I would share breakfast because we didn’t have enough and I absolutely hate the fact that this pandemic has brought so many people to the brink. There is no judgment here, just good food.

If you happen to see the Wednesday menu and fancy something from it but can afford to eat then you can pay what you can and we will use that money to continue this wee idea for as long as we can.
