Let's talk Google reviews:
BEWARE when choosing a cleaner based JUST on the NUMBER of Google reviews, they're not always what they appear. EVERY day, I get emails and text messages asking if I want to buy Google reviews, and I delete them. EVERY DAY!
Whilst it is tempting to buy dozens, or even hundreds, of Google reviews at just $1 each, as we could also artificially skyrocket the number of reviews we have, I was brought up with ethics and morals.
Today sees a new approach to trying to sell me fake Google reviews. They actually left a review, asking if I want help getting more reviews. What they mean is, they can have fake accounts leave me a review.
BE AWARE. When looking at Google reviews, you can click just underneath the reviewer's name, and see all the reviews they have ever left. It's amazing how many of them do not live in the area of the company they have left a review for, and sometimes they have left reviews for the same type of service in different towns, or different services in different towns. Please BE AWARE.
Something else to look at is WHEN reviews have been left, as sometimes you will see there's a 'glut' of reviews, all left within a one-week window, but then not a lot leading up to or since. Just to be aware, as is not what Google themselves would call 'organic and natural'.
Not all reviews are equal, and the above are just a few of the things to be aware of when choosing a cleaner based JUST on the number of reviews.
Below is the recent review left on our page, asking if we would like more reviews, I've blurred the name 'to protect the innocent?"...
