We recently attended this property in Lincoln where the customer had only just moved in, and as there was no recent maintenance history, a sweep and check was required to ensure the flue was clean and the fire safe to use. We soon found a strange blockage at around 3m wedged around a bend. A quick look with the camera revealed a carrier bag full of old newspaper! After a bit of chimney sweep wizardry, this was removed, flue swept, CCTV checked from top to bottom and a smoke test to ensure no further blockages or issues.

This contemporary Stovax stove was one of two appliances worked on during the same day for a long standing customer of ours in Lincoln. Liner fully swept, stove cleaned and checked and as always, finished with a smoke test. Ready to go for another winter!

We recently swept this wonderful open fire near Retford, the age and construction of the flue requiring lots of care and a traditional manual brush approach. One of two sweeps carried out at the property on the day, the stunning fire surround has a history linking it to Blyth Hall - a real pleasure to work on!

Really useful information from the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps on why you should have your kitchen range swept annually. This is a service we offer and can be done at the same time as your other appliances.

You MUST have your AGA or Rayburn cooker flue swept if they run on oil or gas or solid fuel. Regular servicing alone is NOT enough.

At last, some warm dry weather in July! Possibly a bit too warm for chimney sweeps today 🥵 but we’re not complaining too much…
