HOLLY AND SMOKING CHIMNEYS
I have a friendship with holly and
smoking chimneys at this time of year
A hint of coal and kindle wood fills the air
Forest logs burning crackling embers glow
Will we have snow
Crisp fresh air
A hazy moon sat on a cool early evening sky
Children getting exited to see Santa fly by
Talking and waiting for the Christmas elves
To play naughty tricks
Yet they never reveal themselves
Reindeer’s preparing to take flight
Rudolph polishing his nose
Santa waiting to take the reigns
On Christmas Eve night
Presents being wrapped in Santa’s workshop
Mr Frost is waiting to look through your window
As cold icy nights are coming our way
When the cold air turns to frost
The elves are trying to hide
Walking silently on tip toe
A glorious time of year
The hustle and bustle
When fires keep us warm
The cold winter air turns rain to an ice bubble
Just before it turns into a snowflake
To sprinkle over our land
At the magic of Christmas command
So when you smell that wood burning
Or see those bright red berry’s on the holly
It’s almost Christmas
All the elves will turn to being a dancer
To jingle bells
On Christmas Eve
When children are fast asleep
Look to the skies
To wait for Dasher,Vixon and Prancer ❤️
