I would like to take this opportunity to, OFFICIALLY, introduce not one but TWO new Technicians, Harry & Dermot, to my followers and to welcome them to the team.

Both of them have been with us now, for just over a year, and a lot of you would have met them already.

I'm a firm believer that new starts undergo intensive field training prior to taking their first exams. This provides valuable experience and gives them an insight into what Pest Management entails. I have been extremely lucky to have the team I have and Harry & Dermot have fitted in so well.

This takes us now to a team of 7 that will continue to provide exemplary service to all our customers and clients, old and new ♥️♥️

Hiya guys & gals....I'm getting an awful lot of calls in about this wee fella .🙂....people think they have an invasion of wasps/bees in the garden while it is, in fact, a Drone Fly...(named because they mimic bee drones). We also have what's called a Hover Fly or Mimic Fly (these mimic wasps/bees) 🙂 They are very active between March - November but are totally harmless. They look and sound very similar to bees. When flying, they can be very difficult to observe - but their behaviour will be very different from a bee/wasp. These flies hover and move erratically, flitting from side to side, whereas bees generally move slowly from flower to flower, and do not hover in one place. Should you be concerned send me a picture or video and I should be able to identify it for you. 🙂🙂🙂🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝

HEARING SCRATCHING IN THE ATTIC?

It may not be rats or mice. 🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛

With nesting season officially underway, we’re getting more calls about mysterious scratching sounds coming from lofts and ceilings. While many homeowners assume they have a rodent problem, the culprit is often the Common Starling. You tend to find that, with birds, noises will be localised ( in one area )
Rodents would be sporadic and usually at night 🐀

WHY YOUR HOME?

Starlings love high, dry spots to raise their young. They frequently find their way into:

* Gaps in soffits and fascias
* Spaces under roof tiles
* Uncovered extractor vents

KNOW THE LAW!

Starlings are currently on the UK Red List of conservation concern and are fully protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. This means it is illegal to intentionally kill them or destroy a nest while it is being built or in use.

OUR ADVICE 🤔

If you have birds nesting in your roof, we advise waiting until the chicks have fledged & flown, and the nest is naturally abandoned.We can then advise on proofing measures, to ensure they don't return the following year.
