All set up at Kimberley Hall Cornucopia.

Blustery but we’ve managed to create the gallery wall & get some of our statement pieces out on show.

Some have info signs, others just framed so that will have to come.

Can hear the musicians tuning up, so time for a quick look around & a coffee before it opens

New gazebo all setup at Kimberley Hall for tomorrow’s Cornucopia.

Gorgeous setting, Hall in the backdrop looking down to lake. 🥰

Even better is that we live less than 5 miles away from venue - almost a lie-in.

Stand is set up half & half, with a back wall where we can display 6 big pieces. Not done it like this before so it’ll be interesting to see.

All zipped up for it’s sleep-over with just the stock needing to go out tomorrow.

Just need to print put info cards for new pieces but kettle on first ☕️

These two pieces got me thinking!

I don’t create pairs of things, well certainly not intentionally, and I don’t often see the pieces in a collection, since they tend to sell individually.

And yet,…….

These two pieces together are definitely part of my formative years. Throw in a Dr Who piece and Asterix piece and you’d be pretty much there. Bigger wall, then I’d also have Viz and Bagpuss/Clangers. And that’s the joy, we all have our own individual collection mix and why not reconnect with it.

Now currently scheming to fill our little rear hall, by the back door. They’ll need to go into white frames to match the wall colour, but I now have a broader vision and plan. Might take me till Xmas to get them done, Mini Gallery!

You know when you create something and it just works, well this is one of them.

It’s not even fully framed, just resting on the back of it’s handmade oak frame - how neat is his underpinning 🤭

Taken from a 1960’s Castrol Lubricants brochure, celebrating their collaborative successes at Le Mans.

Pure nostalgic images, together with a folded modular shape.

The paper tones are gorgeous and we’ll pop it behind UV resistant acrylic to protect for years to come.

Hopefully I’ll be able to share it complete. Will have a few more of this type of piece if people like them.

Ten new pieces!

Nine for our stand this weekend & one is a fulfilled order.

Have another three new 35cm frames still to finish on top of these makes 12 brand new pieces 🥰🥰

Our stall may look familiar yet each time you’ll find something new.

A bucket of nostalgia for the stall this weekend.

If Scooters and the Lambretta was your thing, then what about this 1970’s 6th edition of The Official Lambretta Home Workshop Manual transformed into a piece for the wall.

The manual has definitely seen better days and with so many of these workshop manuals disappearing in place of digital editions, how nice is it to have something created from an original manual for the wall.

We’ve made up some lovely and unusual paper roses for bespoke orders and this one still remains one of my favourites.

It’s a mixture of Zimbabwean and South African notes, together with 3 very realistic counterfeit £20 notes. Unsurprisingly, there’s a big family story behind the piece.

The notes themselves don’t blend together very well, with very strong distinctive colours and details.

Yet pulled together this way in a simple shabby chic, cabbage rose format, well they just work and create a rather charming piece.

Odd day today of attempting to do the ironing, followed by power cut, then stinking weather migraine.

But can’t claim it a complete disaster because this piece finally emerged.

I’ve had the piece folded for over a week but no matter how I tried to work it, it just didn’t sit right.

Just needed the WiFi to crash, temporary loss of caffeine, followed by inspiration 🤭🤭

Oh dear, accidentally bought another map!

New map series for me, Swiss cartographer Kummerley & Frey.

Heavy paper, no cover but very nice colours. Obvious age to it so a definite buy.

No date but map code would suggest 1950. Need to do more research to confirm, though.

Fair bit of damage on folds, so need a plan.

Just need to finish off all the other pieces first 🤭
