A lot of people see EN numbers on a label and never really get told what they actually mean.
Most of the testing behind disinfectants happens through what is called a suspension test. In simple terms, the product is mixed with bacteria, yeast or viruses under controlled conditions to see how effectively it reduces them within a set contact time. To pass, the reduction levels have to meet strict European standards.
Handsan Foam has been tested against a wide range of EN standards covering bacteria, yeast and viruses, including EN 1276, EN 1650, EN 14476, EN 13624, EN 13727 and EN 1500 for hygienic hand rub performance.
The testing matters because in environments where hand hygiene happens constantly, products need to do more than just feel good to use.
