We all do it. The list builds up, the guilt kicks in, and before you know it Sunday evening arrives and you’ve spent two days catching up rather than switching off.

We get to see some pretty spectacular viewpoints as part of our day, but Deal’s rooftops against that blue sky and that green edge, just has to be one of the best. It’s just such a different perspective of our wonderful town.

We can’t stop for long to admire the view though…we have work to do you know! But it’s a great reminder to love where you live and ensure you take the time to enjoy it.

The Swifts are slowly arriving, the Swallows are performing aerobatics above the flourishing crops in the fields that we walk, and the Cow Parsley lining the lane is ready to burst into life.

We heard our first cuckoo whist out on a light walk in the evening this week whilst the warmth of the day faded with the light.

The time to get out and appreciate all that around you is now.

Don’t be stuck indoors conducting chores.

You could be outside appreciating the world around you, looking for those small things that indicate a big shift in the changing of the season.

There is nowhere better on this planet, than late spring on this little island. Enjoy it.

Okay, so which pre holiday camp are you?
Are you:
A- ‘A last minute - throw it all in a bag the night before and leave the house in a whirlwind’ or
B- ‘Pack the week before and skip out of the door without raising the pulse?’

Well, I will tell you which camp I am in and it isn’t b!!!
That pre holiday to do list just seems to never go down and we leave the house in a whirlwind. BUT we have a secret super hack in our armour, because whilst eating our body weight in gelato and tiramisu, admiring the architecture and simply gawping at the artwork of Venice, our home is being spruced ready for our return.

That means we walk through the door to sparkles - the floor has been hoovered, the sides dusted and the place just smells good. And the icing on the cake…we roll in after a long day travelling home into freshly made beds. Heaven right there!
I may not get to do everything on that pre holiday to do list, but booking a sparkle whilst we are away always gets done!
