Overview
We are looking for somebody who wants to start a career in Health & Safety. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn and become a fully qualified HSQE practitioner within a professional and supportive environment.
The successful individual will support the technical delivery of health & safety projects, including legal compliance auditing, risk assessments, and on-site health & safety support. A big part of the trainee's job will be to support in managing a motor fleet, including monitoring, reporting, dealing with queries and other ad-hoc tasks.
Ambition and a passion for learning new things are essential as studying is key to your success in the role and your longer-term career.
A customer-centric personality is critical as we provide a service to the business, so you must possess good communication skills, adapt to different personalities and build strong relationships.
The successful candidate will be able to work independently on tasks given to them, solve issues they come up against, and be resilient to cope with pressure and changing demands.

This position is based in Crossways Business Park, Dartford DA2 6NW, so you need to live within a commutable distance.

Skills and Experience
The following qualifications are essential for this role:
• GCSE (or equivalent) at A*–C/4–9 in English
• GCSE (or equivalent) at A*–C/4–9 in Mathematics
As a Trainee Health and Safety Assistant, you will be rewarded with:
£20,000 per annum (working hours: Mon-Fri, 8.30 am to 4.30 pm)

Interviews
The first interview will be conducted over the telephone. Interviews typically run for 15 to 30 minutes. The second interview will be conducted in person at our Dartford office. Second interviews typically run for 45 to 60 minutes. Candidates are asked a range of situational, behavioural, and general questions. All candidates are asked the same set of interview questions.
Post-Interview
All short-listed candidates are notified of the outcome of their application for the position within one week of the interview date. The successful candidate will be asked to commence as soon as possible. A delayed start date may be agreed upon in special circumstances.
