Pressure testing successfully completed, and the turbine is now ready to be shipped to site for installation.

This 1.8 MW turbine will play a key role in the full replant and repowering of a hydroelectric facility on the Olympic Peninsula, Washington, USA. Another milestone achieved as the project moves closer to commissioning.

Preparing for the next stage of our latest hydropower project in the USA. The Gilkes twin-jet Turgo turbine is destined for a facility in Washington State and its all coming together ahead of full factory assembly and testing.

Before any equipment leaves our factory, we assemble the turbine and pipework to check all interfaces and ensure everything fits exactly as intended. Every connection is witness-marked and colour-coded, making reassembly on site quicker and more straightforward.

Our experienced hydro fitting team also carries out Factory Acceptance Testing on all major equipment, giving the project team and customer confidence that everything is ready for installation and commissioning.

More updates to come as this project progresses through assembly, testing and eventually installation on site.
