Covid-19 announcement.
I hope you and your families are all keeping well.
Until now I have been working as normal, albeit with some small changes to my working practices - speaking to customers through the window or keeping a minimum of 2 metres apart, encouraging online payments rather than cash, etc.
I work alone, on the outside of buildings whilst wearing gloves and have been sterilising my hands regularly throughout the day; I am currently permitted to work, as are many other tradesmen whose work cannot be done from home.
Notwithstanding this I have decided that I will suspend work for the foreseeable future, a decision that has been made easier by the help announced for the self-employed by the chancellor.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for bearing with me and for the custom you have given me over the years; every single one of you is valued and I will be back with you as soon as possible.
Massive thanks to those involved on the frontline, whether NHS, carers, shop staff, teachers looking after kids still in school, bin men, whoever you are - thanks.
Stay safe one and all.
Carl
