I could have been arrested in Croatia!!

I’d watched the mountains out the window of our taxi, imagining Jesus on the cross at Calvert, when the word ‘passport’ came into my head

We had stopped off at the service station on route
I was in a world of my own and not aware of my surroundings

Did I even take it with me?
Surely not…?

It was no where to be seen
We stopped the car and searched bags, seats and taxi

I felt my stomach churning
I’d left it at the service station !! It was a 40 minute drive back

We were told I’d have been in serious trouble if we arrived to border control and I had no ID

I imagine the holiday would have been a completely different experience

My story would have been about my short vacation in hell, not heaven

🙏🙏🙏🙏

It made me wonder, how often does God actually talk to us?
Is it every day, week or year?

That little voice who guides us, helps to question our actions by making us stop and think

🤔

I’m still buzzing from my trip

It gave me peace, healing and provided meaning to a crazy and messed up world we now find ourselves in

I pray that more people learn to lean into this amazing super power that is all pure and all loving

God knows we need all the help we can get

I did my first ever mountain ⛰️ climb…

….in Medjagorie!! 🙏

Everything they say, is true, plus some

It’s like stepping into a time zone
✈️

People walking the streets with rosary beads instead of eyes glued to their phones

Children hearing Holy music in the streets rather than the trash in today’s so called pop 🫣😭

You could not only sense,
but feel the closeness of God, Jesus and Mary

No other place like it they say,
it’s no wonder

Can’t wait to go back…..

I quit the gym ‼️

Only managed about half way through the year…

Why?
I’m weak 🤣🤣 [well I probably am more so now]

It just wasn’t my thing
I’m more out doorsy

Walking, I can tone up and listen to audio, digesting books
Cycling, I can clear my head, work the muscles and put the world to right in the process

It seems like the structure just didn’t work for me

Had missed 2 sessions, then 2 weeks at a time
Then you get side tracked and skipping classes becomes the norm

This morning I did a home work out 🏋️
Quit with 7 mins left to go [shsss, don’t tell anyone] but I thought where does discipline actually come from?

We’re not born with it
But somehow we just find ourselves doing stuff

I guess if you can preempt how you’ll feel when done, it’s half the battle

Looking after ourselves, in this crazy world, is so important 😇🙏

Haven’t been swimming daily, and boys oh boys, does that tell a toll

Every day, is hard
Once or twice a week, is manageable

I bragged online about my sea swimming for a year, but I guess we all have our thing that juts gels…. Thought it only app to share the failures too!!

[But sure if it was that easy we’d all be “She Ras” and “He men” 🤣🤣

Well done to ALL the girls in St Colmcilles who just played at the Ulster U14 Gaelic finals…

I watched as they succeeded in the semis, and trust me, they really did deserve their place today

First half was a good fair match, and they left the field a few points under. But the second was a different game: or you could say team 🫣

Having managed a local girls footie squad last year, I commend the coaches at St Colmcilles for playing their allocated team, and giving it their all, not easy

You were the winning side today in my eyes !!

Well done ✔️there’s always next year girls 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Every business owner in the country, will feel like ducking for cover… 🫣

Since April this year

🔺The cost of hiring employees has increased
🔺They’re making it easier for unproductive actions in the work place to be both protected and paid for
🔺Business overheads have soared

And people (in general) are pushed to the brink

So many are sick
Families trying their best to put food on the table and keep a roof over their head
Whilst our social media is a wash with fear factoring propaganda to add to the mix!

What are we to do?

Keep going
Try to diversify
Look at ways to improve

We are truly blessed to be in a position where we have built a reputation for looking after our staff. Meaning, we have a long retention record and low turnover

So thankfully the changes in employment legislation will not impact us too negatively

In terms of pricing and clients?
Despite every other cost rising, we have put a freeze on the annual 1st April rate increases for our cleaning services (and will do for as long as we can)

For as a business, we have always wanted to reward loyalty
A rarity in these uncertain times

But I reckon it’s the one thing that will keep us standing 💚

A service business,
based on employing people, in 2026 isn’t easy….
Though I’m not the typa gal who doesn’t like a challenge

[Thankfully]🤣🤣😅

Most of my life,I didn’t listen….

At school
My bosses (probably why I started my own business)
Advisors

So why should a painting class be any different?
🙃

Last week I started finger painting and dabbing
It was a bit of a mess

Something inside me will always rebel
That comes easily
But someone recently told me there is a time to talk and a time to be quiet
Maybe that applies to “listening” too

Today I had a rare free house
My other half watching Down getting hammered so I asked my wee Mummy to come to ours and paint

Took my 2 recent paintings and redid, using the techniques taught

Who cares if it takes 48 years to learn how to listen?!!

Better late than never, hey? 🫣🤣🤣

This man taught me a very invaluable lesson..

If you want to help, do something for others in your community, don’t wait for the go ahead, just do it !!

One of Crossgar’s legends ! I have the utmost respect for all Paul does. From coaching to keeping our little village looking great.
He started off plenty and to me, never got the recognition deserved

My biggest post on my business page, to date, had well over a hundred thousand views and close to a thousand likes
I’d taken a picture of Paul as I sat in McCarthys, he was brushing the streets

It got people talking and then a domino effect took place where more and more people followed in his footsteps and got involved 🙏

I’m genuinely delighted to see this 👏🏻👏🏻

For the first time ever, I was standing chanting at the wrong ralley 🫣🤣



There was 3 ralleys taking place beside each other, isn’t that nuts?

I was glad to be there
No one I knew that would have went knew about this
But hopefully the next one will not be as suppressed

Good deed done for the day, now I’m heading to home to enjoy the rest of our rare weather 🌦️
