Would you believe it? No we can't quite believe it either! Congratulations to Mr T and we will make sure his nails are scrubbed and shoes polished! Seriously, Jimmy is blown away. Such an honour.

We’re delighted to announce that Jimmy Tainsh has been appointed Chieftain of the 2026 Crieff Highland Games, taking place on Sunday 16th August at Market Park.

A lifelong supporter of the Games and a hugely respected figure throughout Crieff and Strathearn, Jimmy has quietly supported local organisations and community events for decades through both his personal involvement and the Tainsh family business.

On accepting the role, Jimmy said, “I was genuinely shocked when I was asked and feel it is a very special honour. The Games have always meant a great deal to me and my family.”

Chairman Iain Dewar added, “Jimmy perfectly represents the values and traditions of the Crieff Highland Games and we are absolutely delighted he has agreed to become our Chieftain for 2026.”

We look forward to welcoming everyone to another fantastic day celebrating Highland sport, music and tradition.

Golden hour. Such nice light in the evenings and early mornings (if it's not raining!). The old oak tree has survived another winter and is in leaf before the Ash. Spring is springing, but its still cold.

Many months of blood, sweat and tears from Mr. T; some valued help from clever boys - mechanics fiddling with the wiring and timing, spray painter turning up to do another bit and another bit as and when they were ready; many chats on the phone with patient parts managers to get the right wee bits needed to complete a very complicated jigsaw. This little beauty has risen from a thousand bits on the workshop floor and isn't she looking great! Well done Jimmy!

Did someone say 'walkies?!' 👀

We're currently taking on fresh paws for our weekday group walk. Collection from Comrie postcodes around lunchtime. Heading off for a rural walk or play at the dog park.

Perfect for social dogs looking to make friends and spend some extra time outside.

A bit brighter now, the sun beginning to shine on the white Church, but what a gloomy morning. We snapped the Melville Monument from over at our side of the river, looking like it was floating in the cloud.

Happy birthday to Jimmy, our resident spring chicken. Will need a fire extinguisher soon for all the candles!
