🔥This one really belongs on WOW Wednesday, but it's also perfect for Feedback Friday!

A huge thank you to Aaron Jackson of AJ Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning for sharing these fantastic results with us.

Combining Aaron's expertise with BonnetPro Surround Omega Citrus, this chair was transformed beyond recognition.

The chair was heavily covered in pet hair, with nearly an hour spent vacuuming before the cleaning process could even begin. The remaining soiling was caused by a much-loved dog who, sadly, had cancer and underwent the amputation of his lower jaw. As a result, his tongue constantly hangs out, and the chair arms had become his favourite resting place over the past three years. The build-up was a combination of drool and everyday contamination.

This job is a great reminder that low-moisture cleaning doesn't mean compromising on results. In fact, it delivered an exceptional clean while restoring a fresh, comfortable resting place for a very special canine companion.

Fantastic work, Aaron, and a brilliant result for both owner and dog alike. 🐾

Introduction to Water Damage Restoration - DATES NOW ADDED AND BOOKINGS OPEN

The day will consist of two sessions - one in the morning (8:30am - 12:30pm) and one in the afternoon (1:30pm - 5:30pm), so attendees can choose whichever session suits them best, on the following dates:

Thursday 16th July
Friday 17th July
Thursday 3rd September
Friday 4th September

If none of these dates are suitable, don't worry, if there is interest we will run further sessions later in the year.

Remember, this is not a formal training course. Instead, John Thompson (former Chairman of the British Damage Management Association with 30 years experience) will be sharing valuable industry knowledge and practical advice on the correct procedures to follow when attending a property affected by an escape of water, specifically from a Carpet Cleaner's perspective.

We will be holding an Introduction to Water Damage Restoration event later this year — date to be announced.

The day will be presented by John Thompson, former Chairman of the British Damage Management Association with 30 years experience, alongside myself, and Ecor-Pro will also be in attendance with a display/demonstration of their drying equipment.

I spent over 20 years running a successful Fire and Flood Restoration business. It was an industry I was extremely passionate about, especially the technical side of the work.

When I first started, most people entering the industry came from a carpet cleaning background. Sadly, that’s no longer the case, with many newer companies now coming from a general building background instead.

John will be covering far more than simply “sucking out the water.” He’ll explain the correct procedures involved in water damage restoration, what should actually be happening on a job, and the training routes available to become truly proficient in the industry. We’ll also touch on aspects of Fire Restoration.

There is still excellent earning potential within this sector and, with the right training, opportunities exist to join national networks that carry out insurance-related restoration work.

The day will consist of two sessions — one in the morning and one in the afternoon — so attendees can choose whichever suits them best.

Refreshments will be provided.

More details and the event date will be announced soon. Cost will be no more than £40 + VAT per attendee.

A little bit of Friday fun… 😁

Here’s John back in 1995 — just a couple of years after starting the business. Where have the last 31 years gone?! 😱

This photo was taken outside the old Chemspec Distributors premises when a local Carpet Cleaners Association was formed. Great to see that some of the original members are still going strong today, including Paul Dyson (Paul Dyson Floor Care Cleaning Specialists), Paul King at Revita Cleaning, Mark Tait and Stuart Clark.
