Hello I’m Julie ,

l have lived in Prettygate with my Husband and 2 children for over 25 years. I’ve been in the Beauty industry for many years, forming good relationships with my clients, listening and understanding their needs. I am a volunteer at St Helena Hospice on the wards, as I’m passionate about providing compassionate care and support where needed, we’re all too aware life is so precious .
When my Mum passed away, l was fortunate to be able to help my Dad out with chores. When he became poorly, it was very important for him to be able to stay in his own home, rather than going into a care home. I understand how important staying in your own home is. And with additional help, this can be possible. This was one of the reasons I wanted to join KayDay.
I have a warm and cheerful nature.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends , keeping myself healthy, going to gym classes and walking my Cavapoo!
I also make a fabulous lemon drizzle cake that will go down a treat with a chat and cup of tea.

Do you have an elderly loved one at a Care home?

I’ve had a lovely afternoon visiting my older clients at New Copford Place care home. They enjoyed foot and hand reflexology and a gentle shoulder and neck massage. They benefit from the gentle touch so much 🥰

We can help combat loneliness, just by having one visit a week. We can check on your love ones, have a coffee and a chat with them. Take them out for trips or help them with daily tasks around their home, which they are struggling with.

'According to Age UK, more than 2 million people in England over the age of 75 live alone, and more than a million older people say they go over a month without speaking to a friend, neighbour or family member.'

We are a local Home help and befriending company providing a service to our local elderly community. We are able to take our clients for trips out, as well as doing household chores, cooking, food preparation and companionship.
