Welcome on board to Binskey and Longlands Lodge, part of the Sykes Cottages Portfolio.

These two beautiful lodges are officially the last 2 properties to launch with D & K for the 2025 season as, Director and Manager, Kim has now opened the waiting list for October 2025 for next season.

The team work hard every season to prepare all cottages in their portfolio, changing over 150 cottages a week, servicing the cleaning, laundry and maintenance as well as guests services, making them the top of the service providers in the North Lakes.

Kim works around the clock to personally deliver her hands on expertise to each owner, to welcome new owners on board and to build a team of likeminded housekeepers to carry out a 5 star service, recognised by owners, agents and Visit England.

Kim and her team are to be recognised at the Hospitality Awards once again this year for their outstanding contribution to the community.

As always when we get to catch up with Kim, she is tremendously proud of the achievements of D & K, of her team and outside contractors what work alongside her every day. Kim is a fountain of knowledge to all cottage owners and this shines through in her drive and enthusiasm to be the best they can be, receiving nothing less than 5 star reviews.

Welcome on board HOLEMIRE COTTAGE, LORTON

A beautiful one bedroomed cosy cottage in High Lorton Cockermouth.

Kim’s famous last words of “no more this year” this one obviously slipped under the radar 😃

The wonderful cleaning and laundry team start this cottage on Saturday 25th May and look forward to working alongside its owner Angela.

Bank Holiday would never be a Bank Holiday without hosting a new property.
Baytree Cottage, Keswick
This owner has added the property to his existing portfolio that Kim and the team have worked with now for over two years. Starting with one cottage the team now manage all four of his properties.

The waiting list for September 2024 has opened today as Kim and the Team prepare for their busy summer schedules as they enter season 5 and the busiest to date with lots of exciting changes and additions for the extras they do… and needless to say another uniform change is likely if Kim gets her mind to it 😀… a testament of the great work the team do 7 days a week is below from an owner who has now been with DK for 3 seasons.

Now to successfully see all guests and owners happy through our busiest year so far.
Honoured to also be involved with the write up in the Times Newspaper about second homes in the Lake District and the effect on the economy as we continue to give employment to local people ! 2023 is looking great for D & K.

A crazy half term week for us this week and one more day to go for the teams ! As always a 5 star job done.

Maintenance this week have been working on my all time favourite property, the home I was born in and still the family home and dad treats mam to a new kitchen! Coming on nice.
