An Ode to Sewage Treatment Plants 📜
By yon wee tanks, where waters flow,
A mighty service ye bestow.
Nae stream or loch shall bear the stain,
Wi' your processes, we keep them clean!
Though muck and mire may greet the day,
We turn it pure, we clear the way.
From households tae the countryside,
Ye treat the waste, ye turn the tide.
O’ septic woes, ye dae us proud,
Wi’ pipes that sing, nae clogs allowed!
For a’ who ken the earth is dear,
Ye guard its health, year after year.
So let us raise a hearty cheer,
For sewage plant folk, far and near.
Tomorrow’s world, ye help sustain,
Wi' every flush, ye break the chain!
Here’s tae the pipes, and tae the flow,
And tae the work ye rarely show.
A cleaner Scotland, let’s all chant,
Thanks tae yer precious wee treatment plant!📜
