David Ian Chalmers
21 December 1964 – 5 July 2026
Aged 61 Years

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of David Ian Chalmers, better known simply as Davie, on 5 July 2026.

A devoted husband to Gillian, a proud father to Andy and Stacey, and, more recently, a much loved papa to Jack and Luna, Davie's family were at the heart of everything he did.

He will be remembered as a much loved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, neighbour and friend. Well known throughout the local community, Davie proudly ran Sparkleen, providing window, gutter and monoblock cleaning services to countless homes over many years. Through his work, friendly nature and willingness to stop for a chat, he became a familiar face to so many and will be greatly missed.

David's funeral cortege will depart from his home on Townhead Road on Saturday 25 July 2026, making its way to Coats Funeral Home for a Celebration of Life Service at 9:45 am, thereafter to Daldowie Crematorium for a committal ceremony.

The family warmly invite all those attending to join them afterwards at the Gartsherrie Club, where there will be a further opportunity to share memories and celebrate Davie's life together.

We at sparkleen are devastated to let our customers know of the passing of my father Davie Chalmers .

He passed away on Sunday morning suddenly and we as a family are shocked and heartbroken beyond belief

We haven’t had any arrangements as of yet and due to this we won’t be out to work at this moment .

Please bare with us at this difficult time and we’ll be back at it in a short time .

What a difference! 🤩

This one had grass and weeds growing everywhere through the monoblock and slabs, but after a good pressure wash and tidy-up it’s looking like a completely different property. 💪

What a difference a good pressure wash makes! 🤩
