You’ve probably got better things to think about than moss like what’s for dinner tonight or that awkward thing you said three years ago that haunts someone else too..

Meanwhile, I’m up a scaffold in Westminster Park, voluntarily thinking about it for a living 😂

But since I’m already here being the odd one out, here are 5 things I’ve learned about moss!

1️⃣ It holds water like a sponge. So your roof stays damp far longer than it should, which isn’t great for the tiles.

2️⃣ It can actually lift your roof tiles. Nothing dramatic, just enough over time to let water sneak in where it shouldn’t.

3️⃣ It’s one of the main reasons your gutters are blocked. It loves to get in your downpipes.

4️⃣ Pressure washing it off your roof isn’t the magic fix.
It looks satisfying, but done wrong it can cause more problems than it solves.

5️⃣ It can shorten your roof’s lifespan. Left long enough, it turns into a much bigger (and more expensive) issue

I’ve worked for some pretty cool brands 🤩

Alongside residential properties, I have been fortunate enough to clean everything from hotels, factories and car showrooms to schools, restaurants and cinemas. I recently worked for Chester Zoo where I cleaned their bat cave! 🦇
