It’s shaping up to be another scorcher this week—and that means your pool is likely getting plenty of use.

Hot, sunny weather is brilliant for swimming, but it also means your pool needs a bit of extra attention to stay clean, safe, and sparkling. Here are a few simple ways to stay on top of things:

• Check chlorine and pH levels more frequently – Warm water affects chemical balance faster than you might expect.
• Keep the filter clean and running – With more use (and more debris), your filter will be working overtime.
• Skim daily if you can – Leaves, grass, and sunscreen build up quickly in hot weather.
• Use a cover when not in use – It helps maintain temperature and keeps out unwanted debris.

It’s been wonderfully warm lately—and with the forecast looking dry and sunny for the days ahead, it’s the perfect time to be making the most of your pool or hot tub.

Here are a few simple tips to keep things fresh, clear, and ready to enjoy all summer long:

• Test your water regularly – Warm weather can affect chemical levels more quickly.
• Rinse before you dip – Sunscreen, body oils, and deodorant can throw your water chemistry off. A quick rinse before getting in goes a long way.
• Keep the filter clean – Your filter will be working harder with more frequent use—give it a rinse or replacement as needed.
• Run the pump longer – In hot weather, extra filtration helps prevent algae and keeps everything circulating properly.
• Use a cover when not in use – Helps keep heat in and debris out.
