Not a bad couple of days surveying

1146m total across 150mm - 750mm pipework

The crawler system makes surveying on busy building sites breeze, as we can survey multiple runs from a manhole out of the way of other traffic, only needing to lift covers briefly to get depths and occasionally reposition the tractor unit

This massively reduces down time for us and other trades onsite.

Here are a two of control panels that have been installed for our clients over in the couple weeks

The first one has been installed in a kiosk ready for full commissioning of the brand new pump system in the new year

And the second is a poly box control panel with glazed front for easy visibility installed on the side of a kiosk as the builders used up all of the space inside the kiosk for temp power and electric meters

The crawler CCTV on its second job of the day last Tuesday at a local hotel to investigate the cause of a pipe that blocks regularly.

A jetting unit went to site the following day and managed to remove the concrete that was jammed awkwardly in the pipe and flow was restored

We recently attended a site in Maidstone to investigate a drain that had reoccurring blockages, after the blockage was cleared we CCTV surveyed the drain run and found 2 broken connections and a pipe that had dropped more than 2 inches causing the sewage to backup

We returned at a later date with the digger and located the exact location of the broken joints with out tracking sonde and excavated down to the pipe, once the pipe was exposed we removed the damaged section and replaced it with pvc pipe, bedded with 10mm gravel and backfilled to ground level.

Once the work was completed we checked the drain again with the CCTV camera to ensure it flowed correctly

A few weeks ago we attended this treatment plant that had suffered catastrophic failure,

The motors had burnt out and the shaft had broken off in the bearing

Due to the location and limited access replacing the entire treatment plant wasn't a viable option.

we consulted with the manufacturer to find out if it would be possible to manufacture a new rotor pack and fortunately for the customer they were able to make a replacement.

While the new rotor was different and requires the removable of the baffle plates in the tank the manufacturer assured us that it would still operate to the required standard

With the new rotor pack, bearing and motor installed the system is back up and functioning as it should be and a maintenance plan is in place to ensure it stays that way.

It wouldn't be a Friday without a call out!!

multiple blockages at a boarding school when the students have just returned

The lines were jetted to clear the blockage - building waste and then surveyed due to the amount of silt we removed to ensure the pipelines were not damaged

Once complete the drains were left clear and flowing

We attended a treatment plant at a property in east Sussex earlier this week to repair a failed air blower and install stainless steel cross braces and new locks on the cover and the original one had rotted away to ensure the tank is secure so the clients grand children are safe when playing in the garden

We then went on to install new air blowers at three different properties on the way back home

we attended a local industrial estate to quote for some work on the surface water drainage.

On arrival to the site we found manholes overflowing, after a quick phone call to the client to let them know about the situation we got to work and cleared the blockage in no time leaving the drains flowing freely
