🐝 A closer look at one of our wasp treatments.

In this video, we have applied insecticide dust to the entrance of the nest. As the wasps continue flying in and out, they come into contact with the treatment and carry it back into the nest, allowing it to work throughout the colony.

If you’ve noticed wasps repeatedly flying to the same spot around your home or garden, there’s a good chance you’ve got a nest nearby.

🚨 OFFICE MICE INVESTIGATION 🚨

What started as “just a few noises” inside an office block quickly turned into a full investigation after the girls working in the office were shocked to discover mice activity inside the building. 🐭

After carrying out a detailed inspection, we traced the issue back to a hole underneath the window externally, which was allowing mice access into the property. Once inside, they were then travelling through the office cable trunking to move around the building unseen.

The amount of droppings found around the external access points and internally showed this had been ongoing for some time.

Following a full risk assessment, we safely carried out a burrow baiting treatment at the active entry point. Another access hole has intentionally been left open for now and will NOT be filled immediately, as sealing it too early could risk trapping mice inside the building and causing odour issues if they die internally.

Once we have confirmed successful bait take in our bait stations around the site and activity has stopped, we will return to carry out full proofing works and permanently seal all entry points. ✅

Prevention is always better than reacting once pests are already inside the workplace.

This loft space had old, compacted and contaminated insulation throughout, with clear signs of long term pest activity and years of debris build up. The insulation had lost a lot of its effectiveness and the loft required a full professional clearance.

This week, we’ve been working alongside The John Henry Group, who maintain fibre optic networks on behalf of Virgin Media, after reports of rat activity inside two external cable cabinets.

Upon inspection, both boxes showed clear signs of rodent presence, including droppings and disturbance around the fibre infrastructure. These cabinets house critical fibre optic connections supplying broadband services to surrounding properties, so fast action was essential.

We carried out:

✔️ Full inspection of both cabinets
✔️ Safe placement of secure baiting systems
✔️ Monitoring measures to track activity levels
✔️ Recommendations to prevent further ingress

Rodents are drawn to these cabinets for warmth and shelter, and unfortunately fibre cabling can be vulnerable to gnawing damage – which can lead to costly service disruptions.

This client recently had several trees removed from their garden, which disturbed an established rat habitat in the ground. Within just a few days, they began hearing movement in their loft space and contacted us immediately.

On inspection, we identified rat droppings and evidence of gnawing to timber beams in the loft. Bait trays were strategically placed in high activity areas, along with UV tracking dust to monitor movement and pinpoint the entry route.

At the second visit, all trays had been completely taken and there was heavy tracking activity around them. This allowed us to trace the problem to an access hole on the exterior of the roof, concealed behind the soil pipe, something that could only be identified from outside the property.

The entry point was sealed, and one week later there has been no further movement, no bait activity, and most importantly no more noises in the loft.

We don’t just put poison down.
We identify the source of the problem and eliminate it properly.
