🐀 ANOTHER RODENT INFESTATION BEING BROUGHT UNDER CONTROL 🐀

Ross Pest Control attended a residential property in the Darlington area following reports of ongoing rodent activity.

Upon inspection, an external rodent ingress point was identified to the rear of the property, providing rodents with an opportunity to enter the building.

Further investigation inside the property identified clear signs of activity within the kitchen area, underneath the kick plates. On closer inspection, it was evident that the rodents had chewed through the cavity wall, creating their own access route into the kitchen. Wall insulation was also visible within the affected area, as shown in the accompanying video.

A three-part rodent control programme is now ongoing. The focus at this stage is on achieving effective control of the rodent activity before completing the necessary proofing and exclusion works. Once the infestation has been brought under control, the identified ingress points will be professionally sealed to help prevent further access and reduce the risk of the problem returning.

This is a perfect example of why simply blocking an entrance point immediately isn’t always the answer. The correct approach is to identify the source, control the infestation, monitor activity and then carry out appropriate proofing works to secure the property.

🐝 ANOTHER TRICKY WASP NEST SUCCESSFULLY TREATED! 🐝

Ross Pest Control attended another residential property this morning in the Chester-le-Street area, following concerns from the client regarding wasp activity in a particularly awkward and challenging location.

Upon inspection, the wasp nest was located underneath the pantiles. Unfortunately, access was significantly restricted by the property’s conservatory, making this a far from straightforward treatment.

Using the appropriate equipment and extension poles from a ladder, we were able to safely access and treat the nest, ensuring the wasp activity was dealt with professionally and effectively. ✅
