At Pink's Home Services we clean what others won't clean.
That's the case of this project. We got an email from a client who leave in Kensington and he want his beautiful home clean in Brechfa as couldn't get any cleaner to come and even have a look who would get this cleaned for this dad.
So after back and forth email and call we sent an estimated quote off, quote approved we planed and organised a 3 team members but only ended up using two as not to be too invasion on his dad(80 years old) currently leaving there. On arrival, beautiful scenery, large home, the sky's open as usual heavy rain. Brought all the equipment and his dad showed us around this beautiful home. My there it was a mess, floor appeared clean but not. (you will understand later). So, looks at everything, looks normal but go closer and drag a fingers on a wood piece or glass piece and you can tell this place is scared or a duster or a cleaning brush. At the stage we knew it was mask on. So we asked his date to pick a room to stay in for 30 minutes he chose the kitchen area. So we shut the doors isolating each room we, windows and door doors opened, steam each room from living room to upstairs toilet (living room was upstairs) to control the dust. Got on the ladder the the exposed beam were free accommodation for 🕷️ + web 🕸️ you now one of those webs that are in visible until you walk into them and you feel like you have been cut in a fishing net on you face, the Web was thick, trying to get them out was like trying to get them off was like trying to fix a cassette tape rail that was pulled off a old cassette player In the after 7 meticulous hours we were done hand cleaning each beam and fan twice, aired the whole house. I asked the da how long has it been since this place was clean?... Guess... His answer shocked me. 16years. And I confirmed 16years and he said yes since his wife passed and he said he said he some times cleans vacuums but when I checked his hoover it appears its full and bursting over with dust - so I did the needful. So I the end he was pleased we tidy up, ensuring we keep everything thing in the same position include papers and books on the stairs so he doesn't notice much difference and it's easier for him to locate his stuff. This was not just cleaning - we took care of the this home and his dad was over the moon. The son call us to show this appreciation and even send an email. I enjoy doing every bit of these risky & challenging cleaning.
Anyway, this was partly why we started service to do cleaning the way we were thought at children and help older adults maintain their independence whilst living at home.
