Hello all.

A brief note to keep you updated.

Wow what a start to 2021 for the UK. Another lockdown. Although we write this as we start to come through the other side we wish all businesses well and we hope you can all open shortly and safely and get back to doing what your best at.

At a company level 2021 is continuation of the success of 2020. CITO has been successfully winning new business nationwide and locally with med to large multiple location businesses on boarding this week.

A special mention to Bev Taylor who runs our Manchester Area for gaining a large national plastics and doors manufacturers factory in Blackburn and Aberdare as well as its distribution network and 90 plus depots.

She has also been instrumental in assisting, CITOs proposal we delivered to a large Dublin based property investment company in gaining their entire English Property Portfolio.

The team have also been invited to speak and exhibit at 2 large business events at the Excel in London one in Nov 2021 and the other in March 2022.

The MD will be speaking and his working title of his speaking section is "Cleaning its not Rocket Science. Or is it". (Its gone to his head hes asking for green skittles in his dressing room)

Lastly during the bleak covid periods of January and February we continued performing to a 100% service levels even when staffing levels were down 33%. The management team have been back out on the tools to assist when needed.

5 months since the country was placed into lockdown and life as we knew it changed. Sanitizers deep cleans fogging became the buzz words on peoples lips.

Today another article in the news is published highlighting the lengths people will go to make a quick coin.

First we had trading standards fining a national company used on TFL and arriva buses because they claimed places they fogged are COVID free for upto 30days which was factually incorrect and dangerous to claim. Fogging is only good till the first person comes into contact with it.

Now we have the news that alcohol free sanitizer takes 2to3mins to work compared to recommended 60% based alcohol sanitizers that take 20seconds. Alcohol free hand sanitizer are not recommended by any government body or the WHO.

We at CITO support our colleagues in the industry as members of varying cleaning trade memberships to push for a national trade licence to eliminate the cowboys that plague the industry.

Our emails remain out of action currently hopefully tomorrow will be better news.

Alternatively we have a stable for messages coming on the stagecoach, and a birdcage for pigeons.

Also we have a team out with binoculars if you know semaphore, smoke signals, morse code or signal lamp.
