Announcement.
After a lot of thought and consideration I have decided to stop GTC for the time being.
It has been a fantastic journey so far, but sadly peppered with the usual pitfalls of being self-employed. I was spending a lot of time chasing payments or turning up to do a booked job to be turned away.
The personal stress of expecting cash flow when it didn’t happen takes its toll unfortunately and I do have my own bills to pay. So I have decided to return to being an employee.
I decided to share this with you to hopefully draw awareness to what happens if people don’t pay on time or cancel appointments. On the whole my customers were generally very good and I thank you all for your business, it was really appreciated.
(It’s also worth mentioning that some of the worst people for paying are corporate customers! A big invoice I was expecting to be paid before Christmas wasn’t, and still hasn’t been!)
Aside from that I’m proud that I have given this a go and I have really enjoyed the journey, thank you for joining me on this learning trip.
And if anyone wants to buy a trailer or some gardening equipment please give me a shout 😂
I will be in touch with regular customers who get my regular grass cutting services over the next week.
